Seattle, Alaska, and the Ignition of Vision
Seattle welcomed us with shifting skies—clouds in the morning, sunshine in the afternoon. From Pike Place Market’s hand-crafted stalls to the glass gardens of Chihuly and the height of the Space Needle, I felt a balance of wonder and grounding. Even before the ship sailed north, the city reminded me of something simple but powerful: water = life. Being near it stirs creativity, clarity, and a sense of expansion.
Then came Alaska. Waterfalls tumbling from green cliffs, glaciers flowing into deep valleys, seaplanes buzzing the sky, hikes out to Nugget Falls, and ports alive with small-town rhythm. Everywhere I looked, nature made it impossible to ignore the truth: life is short, beauty is abundant, and the time to act is now.
I brought home objects—a Tibetan Buddha wall piece, a spirit bear sculpture, a Tree of Life engraving—but they’re more than souvenirs. They’re anchors of meaning, reminders of this turning point.
Because the real takeaway from this trip is not what I carried back. It’s what carried me forward.
The Shift
For over a decade, I’ve explored: careers, relationships, hobbies, and places to live. That phase gave me perspective. But now, nearing 35, I feel the urgency to build, not just sample. I don’t want to wait until 2026. The time to move is now.
This trip clarified the foundation I want to master:
Daily disciplines → yoga, lifting, writing, art, filming, language learning.
Business pillars → real estate, art, and entrepreneurship.
Creative identity → stepping into the role of a “mystical ringleader” who doesn’t just create, but hosts, curates, and leads.
Travel stripped away distractions. It showed me how much potential comes alive when I practice stillness, flow, and discipline each day. Even onboard, I kept writing, sketching, filming, and flowing with my props. Those hours reminded me that consistency is the engine of transformation.
The Festival Vision
The ultimate dream crystallized: a festival venue. Land east of Colorado Springs. RV pads, campgrounds, tent fields. Lights, sound, art, fire, and community. Not just a party, but a new-age circus where people can feel alive and free together.
I know the steps: scout land this year, grow Connors Designs into a real business, expand my properties, and position myself to exit nursing within the next couple of years. I want to scale quickly, play bigger, and live fully aligned with this vision.
Coming Home
What I carry from Seattle and Alaska is ignition. A sense that this wasn’t just a vacation, but a beginning.
I return grateful and determined. To sharpen my daily practices into S-tier routines. To scale art, real estate, and business. To build the festival grounds. To become the leader and creator I know I can be.
Seattle and Alaska gave me beauty, clarity, and proof that when I make space for stillness and vision, the next step always reveals itself.
The waiting is over. The movement begins now.
